Hello friend!

My name is Aman. I’m a full-time software developer and passionate travel blogger living in the vibrant city of Hong Kong.

As a Punjabi-Indian girl born to hardworking immigrant parents, I always dreamed of traveling the world and discovering new places and cultures—experiences they never had the chance to enjoy. Turning that dream into reality has been the greatest adventure of my life—especially when I get to take my family along with me to experience these new cultures together.
This blog, born from my passion for travel and storytelling, is my way of sharing those adventures with you.

Why I Started This Blog

Like many travelers, my journey started on Instagram. But I soon realized that a single photo or a 15-second reel couldn’t capture the true depth of a country. I wanted to move beyond the “aesthetics” and the curated squares to offer something more substantial. To date, I’ve explored 14 countries and 48 cities and regions, deep-diving every country I visit.

When I’m not exploring the world, you’ll find me exploring the secrets of Hong Kong, my beloved city. Being able to speak, read, and write the local language gives me an “insider” edge that I love sharing. On weekends, you’ll find me venturing into vibrant neighborhoods to uncover those special, hidden spots—the ones even locals might walk past—that make this city truly unique.

Ever since I got my mainland entry permit in 2025, I’ve also been on a mission to explore more of China. I started with Shenzhen—just across the border—and realized that beyond the usual shopping and spas, so much of the region remains unexplored. The tech hurdles and language barriers can feel intimidating, but that’s where my “developer brain” comes in. From the streets of Shenzhen to the mountains of Zhangjiajie, I love figuring out the logistics and the “how-to” so I can make these adventures easy and accessible for you.

How I Build My Guides

By day, I’m a software developer, and I bring that same analytical precision to my travel research. My “deep dives” are built on more than just surface-level searches; I leverage my linguistic advantage to find information others miss.

Whether I’m navigating Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, or a language I have yet to know, I make it a point to research in the local language of my destination. I vet my itineraries with the same precision I use to write code—translating local maps, checking native travel forums, and figuring out the tech logistics so you don’t have to. When you follow one of my guides, you’re getting a resource that’s been technically and linguistically “debugged”!

Let’s explore the world together, one adventure at a time!

Keep up with me
